We at Martini Club want to raise a Martini to Sean Connery who sadly passed away at his home in the Bahamas in his sleep surrounded by his family. While Connery never played Bond in Casino Royale (that tribute goes to David Niven in the original and Daniel Craig in the 2006 version) and thus didn't establish the Vesper Martini in our minds, he was widely regarded as the finest Bond actor throughout the ages, and also had plenty of Martinis on screen.
So cheers to you, Sir Sean Connery, for providing us with an exceptional lifetime of enjoyment and a Scottish panache that is unlikely to ever be matched.
